SPL Reading Club
Up, Up and Away with Summer Reading!
Dust off your wings and strap on your jetpacks, Summer Reading Club launches June 18 at all Surrey Libraries! Come in, sign up, and let your summer reading take you to the skies, through space, and to other worlds!
How does Summer Reading Club work?
- Sign up at any of Surrey Libraries' nine branches and get a reading record and calendar.
- Read (or be read to) books, magazines, comics, at home, at the library, or on vacation.
- Read 15 minutes or more everyday! Mark one box in the calendar for every day that you read.
- Write the title and author of every book you read (or someone reads to you) in your reading record.
- Collect stickers! After reading for 7 days, get a sticker for your reading record. Collect all 7 stickers!
- Earn a medal! Read for 49 days and receive a medal!

Reading Link Challenge - Surrey Champs!
This team of seven Grade 5 students
(Tim P., Andrew M., Emmanuel T., Isaac S., Joseph S., Nathan L., & Austin G.) has made a definite statement in the face of ‘boys don’t read’!
They will advance to the Lower Mainland competition this week to vie for Grand Champions!
The event will take place Thursday, April 18, at 7 pm in the Douglas College Theatre (Pinetree Way, Coquitlam).
